We previously announced that Steam Link will be available on iPad, iPhone and Android devices. However, as usual, Apple did not approve Steam Link in the App Store.
Steam Link is Valve’s streaming service that lets you play games installed on your PC on another device. To oversimplify, it’s actually remote desktop software that’s fast enough for gaming.
Apple approved Steam Link for the App Store on May 7, but rejected it a few days later. Apple did not state why it did not approve Apple Link, but the likely reason is thought to be an economic factor.
It was disappointing that Apple accepted it in the first place and then rejected it. it was not surprising. Considering Apple’s previous attitudes, it was considered normal.
