Middle East internet connection lost

Some of you may have to wait a long time for pages to load while surfing the web today. This is because three of the four main cables that provide internet connection between Sicily-Tunisia, the Middle East and South Asia, and between Europe and America were damaged at the same time. While one of the cables was completely destroyed, the other two suffered serious damage.

Due to this outage, 80% of the internet connection capacity in Egypt, 65% in India, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia , Taiwan and Pakistan lost about half. There is no definite picture about how much the failure will affect Turkey. However, we expect more than normal when opening some sites hosted in foreign countries.
