When installing the system on your computer, Windows hides some important files from users. Sometimes we need to see these hidden files or the files inside the hidden file and we need to delete the files inside the hidden file. If you don’t want your own files to be visible on the computer, you hide them.
How to make files hidden?
If you want any file or folder to be hidden on your computer, here’s what to do steps. right click the file or folder you want to hide, tick Hidden at the bottom. When you say Apply, two options will appear.. “Apply changes to this folder only”this option hides the folder only, not the subfiles. “Apply changes to this folder, subfolder and files” also hides the current folder and subfolders and files, and there is no need to manipulate subfolders. To unhide the files, it will be enough to remove the Hidden column and click Apply again.
How to show hidden files?
Go to
Control Panel, click View on the view from the drop-down menu on the right of the box to Small or Large select iconr. Scroll down and click Folder options. Click on the View tab and under the “Show hidden files and folders” option, select Show hidden files, folder and drives” and hidden files will be shown. When you continue down there is an option that says “Hide protected operating system files (recommended)“. This option hides files in the operating system with stricter rules. These files will appear when you remove the pad.
Access hidden files with File Explorer
To reveal hidden files using File Explorer , by clicking the folder icon to the right of the Start menu in the lower left or right-clicking the Start menu and select DFile Explorer, another alternative is click This PC or open any folder in the upper right expand the menu bar by clicking the arrow that appears in the corner. Click on the Appearance tab. Select the Show/Hide drop-down menu on the right and you can access the hidden files by putting the pad on the option that says Hidden Items.
How to Show Hidden File in Registry?
The registry can help you see these hidden files too. Press Win + R to make the registry appear. When the Run dialog box opens, type regedit and press Enter.
“HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Microsoft -> Windows -> Go to CurrentVersion -> Explorer -> Advanced. Click the Hıdden option on the right, and if you set the value to “1”, hidden files will appear. If you want to hide the files again, set the value to “2”.
If you want to see the protected Windows files, set the “ShowSuperHidden” to “1” You can set it to strong>. The “0” option will hide the files again.
